ABSTRACT

Brucella discitis may present with musculoskeletal complaints and patients can not benefit from regular antirheumatic drugs. Spinal brucellosis and tuberculosis diseases may not come to mind at first. Our purpose in presenting this case is to emphasize the importance of early diagnosis. Case, 63 years old, living in the city center, was a female patient. Low back pain and in the both of hip joints have had very severe pain, did not decrease with rest, proposed operation by the surgeon, however patient has not accepted, 3 box anti-inflammatory and analgesic and 3 box myorelaks treatment given, not complaints and she was admitted to our clinic. Patients were fired from time to time in the detailed questioning, weakness and fatigue findings were also available. As a result, the patient’s have a resistance and inflammatory character of back pain, if the standard treatment despite complaints does not exceed MRI, PET/CT help “Tuberculosis spondylitis” presence at an early stage to identify and complications protect the patients possible.
